Australian Alpaca Products from the Benbellen Alpaca Farm
on the Mid North Coast, NSW Australia
Sherry Stumm and Peter Wildblood bought their property in the beautiful
coastal valley of Hannam Vale on the Mid North Coast of New South
Wales in 1997.
Little did they think then of the alpaca and its 5000 year tradition of providing high-quality clothing and other durable and useful alpaca products.
Beginning with a small number of alpacas in 1998, the alpaca herd
at Benbellen grew to a sufficient number of high quality animals for
the production of hand crafted, quality alpaca products. The
range starts with hand knitted, quality fashion knitwear (alpaca sweater
or known in Australia as "jumper") and warm, lightweight
bed covering (duvet also known as doona, doonah and comforter) and
orders for all these products have been filled for more than ten years.

Peter and Sherry "downsized" in 2012 and moved to Rainbow
Flat just south of Taree, taking a small selection of their herd with
them, as well as a sufficient stock pile of fine quality alpaca fleece
to serve the needs of their growing numbers of happy customers for
years to come.
